Producing Cleaner Energy
The future of clean energy will be an “energy mix”. This mix that will include more renewables and natural gas, and fewer high-emission fuels like coal.
In fact, the International Panel on Climate Change states “Natural gas, where transmission is economically feasible, will play an important role in emission reduction.”
Did you know:
- Natural gas emits half the greenhouse gas emitted by coal.
- Trading coal for natural gas cuts air contaminants by 99 per cent.
- Supplying Asia and other growing economies with clean Canadian natural gas will slow climate change and improve quality of life.
